Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Carpenter 1 fire threatened this year's Camp Cartwheel, which is put on every summer for kids with life-threatening illnesses.
Just one week ago, organizers realized they would not be able to hold the camp at Torino Ranch in the Spring Mountains.
So, they had to scramble and move it to the Kingston Ranch in Sandy Valley.
Since the facility doesn't have overnight lodging, the four-day camp will be a day camp this year.
The kids don't seem to mind though.
The camp is still a place they can go to forget about doctors and hospitals.
