Standoff in The Lakes ends with two people in custody

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A standoff lasted roughly eight hours on Saturday and ended with two people in custody.

The barricaded situation started at approximately 2 p.m.

Police said they were looking for a felony suspect at 9701 Horizon Hills Drive, near Desert Inn and Grand Canyon Drive.

She was reportedly wanted for forgery-related crimes. Upon arrival, police also found a male felon inside the home.

Weapons were believed to be on the property.

Police said it turned into a barricade situation that lasted until about 10 p.m. SWAT officers were on scene and flash bangs were deployed. 

Eventually, officers gained entry. The man was found hiding in the attic. Both he and the female suspect were taken into custody.
