Southern Nevada's largest car show back in Henderson this weekend
Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- If you love cool cars, live music and good food, Henderson is the place to be this weekend.
The 14th annual Super Run Classic Show opens in downtown Henderson on Friday.
But, before that, there will be a kickoff party from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fiesta Henderson on Lake Mead Parkway. The party will feature a Show & Shine with hundreds of cars competing and live entertainment from 4 to 8.
The Super Run is Southern Nevada's largest car show, featuring 1,000 vintage cars displayed on Water Street, Henderson's main drag.
New this year is a fashion show by Bombshell Pinup Productions. The local business will host the show on Friday, just before the Buddy, Roy & Elvis! tribute concert at 8 p.m.
Kristy Lee Cook, a finalist on season 7 of "American Idol," is the star attraction on Saturday. She will perform at 8 p.m.
In addition, there will be a hubcap art display and auction, a roaring engines competition, a farmers market, a children's activity area and vendor mall.
Hours are noon to 9 p.m. Sept. 27, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 28 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 29.
The following streets will be closed from 6 p.m. Sept. 26 to 8 p.m. Sept. 29:
Water Street (From Ocean to Victory)
Pacific Avenue & Army Street (From Water to Market)
Atlantic Avenue (From Water to Lead)
Basic Road (Will experience partial closures)
