Seven Nevadans included in Forbes richest 400 people list

(KTNV) -- Forbes magazine has published its 400 Richest Americans list for 2013 and seven Nevadans are on the list.
Casino mogul Sheldon Adelson almost made it into the top ten. Instead, he is ranked as the 11th richest American with a net worth of $28.5 billion.
Much of Adelson's wealth can be traced to booming business at his casinos in Macau and Singapore.
Wal-Mart heiress Nancy Walton Laurie of Henderson was the next highest Nevadan on the list with a net worth of $4 billion.
Las Vegas casino owner Steve Wynn barely made it into the top 200. His net work is estimated at $2.9 billion. He is the third richest Nevadan.
Phillip Ruffin came in at No. 222 with a net worth of $2.5 billion. Ruffin hit the jackpot when he bought Treasure island for $775 million during the recession. The property is now worth $1.6 billion.
Steve Wynn's divorced wife Elaine came in at No. 296 with a net worth of $1.9 billion
The Fertitta brothers -- Frank and Lorenzo -- tied for No. 386 with a net worth of $1.3 million each. The Fertitta brothers made their fortunes casinos and mixed-martial-arts. The Fertittas own Station Casinos and Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The bother's also debuted the United States first legal online gambling site, ultimatepoker.com, in April of this year.
