Second teen suspect charged in fatal attempted robbery

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The second suspect allegedly involved in an attempted robbery that led to a fatal shooting has been identified.
16-year-old Fabian Diaz has been charged as an adult and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
He faces the following charges: Murder with deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit murder, attempt robbery with deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.
19-year-old William Copeland was also arrested for his involvement.
The incident happened Sept. 28 on the 200 block of Jefferson Street.
Las Vegas police said an elderly woman was walking in the area of H Street and Monroe Avenue, when Diaz and Copeland pulled up in a vehicle.
Police said Copeland approached and attempted to rob the victim at gunpoint. When she refused to cooperate, Copeland fired the handgun striking the victim.
The woman later died from her injuries.
Diaz was allegedly the driver during the crime.
