The Sahara Avenue bridge over Desert Rose Golf Course, formally known as the Winterwood Golf Course, will reopen to traffic on Saturday.
After being torn down in March, it will reopen on Aug. 16 by 7 a.m.
The new bridge is longer, and is as part of the flood control improvements known as the Las Vegas Wash Project.
The bridge is located between Winterwood Boulevard and Sloan Lane on the east side of the Las Vegas Valley.
Work on the Las Vegas Wash Project began in November and is expected to last through next year. In addition to replacing the bridge, other projects include improvements to the Las Vegas Wash to Nellis Boulevard, as well as reconstruction of the Desert Rose Golf Course.
When the project is complete, 2.5 miles of the wash will part of the Las Vegas Wash, of which 1.5 miles will run through the Desert Rose Golf Course.
The new bridge has two travel lanes in each direction, however travel will be restricted to one lane in each direction until the project is complete.
