SXSW expands to Las Vegas with 4-day event
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- South by Southwest has landed in Las Vegas. At least a smaller version of it.
The annual music, film and interactive conference and festival held in Austin, Tex., has expanded.
The first SXSW V2V conference is taking place right now at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas.
Attendees are busy attending informative panels and workshops, listening to inspirational speakers, participating in workshops, mentor sessions and networking events, pitch competitions and attending start-up showcases.
Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh was the keynote speaker on Monday and the Downtown Project hosted a reception downtown that night at the Gold Spike.
AOL co-founder Steve Case and FEED founder and CEO Lauren Bush are also speaking at the event.
The four-day event also features music showcases each night at the Backstage Bar & Billards Lounge in downtown Las Vegas.
SXSW V2V will conclude with a party on Wednesday night at Hyde Bellagio.
About 1,500 people were expected to attend.
