Retired Las Vegas casino exec nominated for Redbook's hottest husband

CREATED Sep. 27, 2013

(KTNV) -- A retired casino executive has been nominated by his wife for Redbook magazine's 2014 Hot Husband contest.

49-year-old William "Bill" McBeath has been married to his wife Shannon for 21 years. He is the father of two children -- 18-year-old Allie and 14-year-old Brynn.

McBeath was nominated based on the fact that he makes time to still woo his wife even after 20 years of marriage.

According to his profile, the two renewed their vows on a private island in Tahiti last year. As a surprise for his wife, he had their wedding date tattooed on his ring finger.

He also makes his daughters feel "special and loved," according to Shannon.

McBeath resigned from the Aria in 2012 where he was the president and chief operating officer.

Before that, he was president of several different MGM-owned Strip resorts since 1997.

McBeath is a native of Las Vegas, a graduate of Clark High School and a 1986 graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Redbook received more than 1500 submissions for their annual contest. They have narrowed that field to 25.

Votes can be cast through their website. Voting began Sept. 11 and will end Oct. 28. Click here to vote.

The winners and runner ups will appear in the February issue of Redbook. The grand prize is a 5-day, 4-night trip for 2 to the Hyatt Regency Curacao Golf Resort, Spa and Marina.
