Repaving of I-215 near airport will impact traffic over next two weeks
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Repaving on the southern I-215 Beltway between I-15 and Windmill Lane is expected to significantly impact traffic in that area.
The work will take place from Monday, Oct. 14 through Saturday, Oct. 26.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Oct. 14, traffic will be reduced to two lanes for westbound I-215 between Windmill and I-15.
Drivers should expect this stretch of the highway to be limited to two lanes through Oct. 19.
Traffic will be similarly limited to two lanes on eastbound I-215 between I-15 and Windmill from 9 a.m. Oct. 21 through Oct. 26.
The highway on and off ramps in this area will also be affected at various times during these two weeks.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid this stretch of the Beltway during the repaving, especially during the affected rush hours.
The new asphalt will be laid during the warmer daytime hours, with curing and new striping of the highway being done overnight.
