Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Rain and high winds swept across portions of Southern Nevada on Sunday.
Many areas in Clark County saw thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. Flash flood warnings were in place for much of the evening.
The Nevada Highway Patrol said I-15 was shutdown near Primm on Sunday for a short time at mile markers 11-13. There was standing water in the area and drivers were being diverted.
Traffic was backed up for miles.
In Jean, State Route 161 was also briefly shutdown after flooding brought heavy debris onto the roadway.
A group of motorcyclists, who were stopped nearby, told Action News it was terrifying to be on the roads during the storm.
With tears in her eyes, Laura Pendleton said, "The visibility rate was so bad. If we had gone down, it's possible someone might not have seen us."
There have been no water rescues reported, only a few motor assists.
