Las Vegas, (KTNV) -- The tax bill is in the mail.
Tax bills for more than 729,000 Clark County parcels are being mailed to property owners this week, according to the county's Treasurer's Office.
Taxes for the fiscal year are due on the third Monday in August but may be paid in four installments if taxes are more than $100.
The installment due dates for 2013-2014 are:
First installment -- Aug. 19, 2013
Second installment -- Oct. 7, 2013
Third installment -- Jan. 6, 2014
Fourth installment -- March 3, 2014.
According to Clark County, taxes for 2013-2014 total just over $1.4 billion, which is down slightly from last fiscal year.
Many taxpayers will receive a statement of tax distribution instead of a tax bill with payment coupons.
This means that a mortgage company has requested the tax bill information for the property.
If a resident is not sure who is supposed to pay the bill, they should call their lender.
If a resident has not received a bill of tax distribution statement by Aug. 1, they should call 702-455-4323 to find out amount due and to request a bill.
