Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Powerball fever is spreading across Southern Nevada right now, and on Wednesday evening, someone could have wealth beyond their wildest dreams.
The chances of winning may be slim, but that hasn't stopped millions of people from buying tickets.
According to the Multi-State Lottery Association, Wednesday's jackpot is estimated at $400 million with a cash value of $223 million.
It's the fifth largest lottery prize in U.S. history.
The biggest jackpot in American history was $665 million.
Locals have made the drive to Primm to get their hands on a golden ticket.
A person's odds of winning the jackpot are one in 175 million.
Odds of picking the winning numbers remain the same, regardless of how many people play or how big the jackpot gets.
