Police searching for woman in connection to homicide near Lake Mead and Jones

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police are searching for a woman linked to a recent murder near Lake Mead and Jones.

On Saturday around 3:41 a.m. the LVMPD Call Center received a 911 call of a male laying on the ground in a housing complex in the 6200 Block of Ilanos Lane.

Arriving police and medical personnel found a male suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds. 

The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The preliminary investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicates the male was inside of a vehicle with an unknown subject.

The male was later seen falling out of the passenger's side of the vehicle. An unknown female came out of the driver's side of the vehicle, walked over to the male, and then drove away.

Detectives have identified a vehicle and person of interest.

The vehicle of interest is described as a 2005 four door Hyundai Accent, red in color, with Nevada license plates 953LHT.

The person of interest is 27 year-old Stacey Thomas. She is a black female adult, standing 5'8", weighing 285 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
