Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police have named 32-year-old Enrique Flores as the man that led them on a high-speed chase on Sunday.
Flores is being charged with evading a police officer, resisting a police officer with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
The incident began around 8 p.m. on Sunday.
According to police, Flores threatened people with a rifle near a fast-food restaurant near Lake Mead and Jones boulevards.
Police responded to the area and a chase began.
Initially, they had Flores trapped in a cul-de-sac but then he drove across private property to escape.
Police pursued him onto U.S. Highway 95 from Rancho Drive.
The chase continued onto Interstate 15 at a high rate of speed.
The tires of Flores' vehicle began to deteriorate as he traveled southbound on I-15 and lost control of the vehicle, crashing into the median south of Sahara Avenue.
Flores initially refused to exit his vehicle and SWAT was called. Shortly after, he exited without incident and was taken into custody.
A rifle was found on the floor of the vehicle.
Flores was taken to the hospital for minor injuries he suffered in the crash.
No one else was injured during the incident.
