Obamacare ads raising eyebrows

(KTNV) -- President Obama's signature healthcare law has been the subject of debate for years now, but a new ad campaign opposing Obamacare may be crossing the line.

The group Generation Opportunity, which is behind the ads, wants to convince people not to sign up for coverage.

It's using a slightly strange approach: ads featuring a man wearing a huge Uncle Sam head bursting into a patients' rooms while they are receiving gynecologic exams and prostate exams. It goes on to say: Don't let the government play doctor.

The ads are getting a lot of criticism on Twitter.

Generation Opportunity says they're targeting 18-29 year olds. They're spending big bucks on the ads -- an estimated $750,000.

They won't be the only ones. One ad-tracking agency estimates by 2015, more than $1 billion will be spent on ads, most of them making the case against Obamacare.

Generation Opportunity will also be visiting college campuses and attend events like tailgate parties and campus festivals. At those events, they plan on handing out information also pushing their message. They also plan to host their own events to push their agenda.
