Mob Attraction moving
The Mob Attraction has announced it is closing its doors at the Tropicana Nov. 3. The attraction says it is currently in talks with other properties. Full story.
Treasure Island adding retail space
Treasure Island has announced it is adding retail space and remodeling the area along Las Vegas Boulevard. The Sirens of TI show will be closed temporarily. The project is scheduled to be finished by fall 2014. Full story.
Famous sign goes pink
The famous Welcome to Fabulous Sign on the southern end of the Strip went pink Monday morning in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The ceremony to flip the switch was attended by members of Clark County Commission. The sign will be lit with pink bulbs all month. Full story.
National Geographic thanks Las Vegas locals
Imagine Exhibitions is thanking Las Vegas locals for their support of "50 Greatest Photographs of National Geographic" at The Venetian. Locals that mention "Imagine Exhibitions Loves Locals" will received $6 off regular admission for the month of October. Click here for more info.
Hard Rock Cafe goes pink
The Hard Rock Cafe on the Las Vegas Strip will also be going pink for month of October. Bally's headliner Veronic will kick off their Pinktober program with a ribbon cutting on Oct. 1. Guests will be able to purchase a special pink t-shirt throughout the month at the cafe's Rock Shop. Click here for more info.
Frankie Moreno performs with Million Dollar Quartet
Singer Frankie Moreno will perform with the Million Dollar Quartet during a special encore performance during the finale of the 7 p.m. show Oct. 1 at Harrah's Las Vegas. Moreno is third one-night-only guest to join Million Dollar Quartet. Previous entertainers were Veronic DiCaire and Taylor Hicks.
Donny & Marie announcement
Donny and Marie Osmond are expected to make an announcement on Oct. 2 from the Flamingo Las Vegas showroom. Rumor has it that the brother and sister duo will announced a major extension of their current deal.
New breakfast items/cocktails at Rockhouse
The Rockhouse in the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian/Palazzo has introduced some new breakfast items, available from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sundays. New offerings include the Breakfast Classic Scrambled Eggs, the Chorizo and Egg Breakfast Tacos, and Three Mini Hot Dogs. New cocktails from the American Woman and Pink Cadillac from the Girls Drinks menu and Highway to Hell and the TNT from the manly menu. Click here for info.
The Luxor is hosting a job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 2 and 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Nile Room. Employers include Caesars Entertainment, Home Depot, UPS, Walmart, Walgreens, MGM Resorts, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Companies are looking for holiday workers. Click here for info.
Oktoberfest at Dick's Last Resort
Dick's Last Resort at the Excalibur will host Dicktoberfest Oct. 2 through 6. Special menu items will include bratwurst hoagies, sauerkraut link hoagies, giant pretzels and giant fries. The 4th Annual Food & Will All-Star Weekend is taking place Oct. 4 through 6 on Las Vegas Strip. The weekend fatures a variety of events including 10 Ways to Sushi at Shibuya; the kick-off party at the Aria; All-Star Brunch at American Fish (Aria); The All-Star Burger Bash at the MGM Grand Pool; a wine tasting at Bellagio's Jasmine; and the Harvest Dinner with Michael Mina. One Drop's Walk For Water 5.6-mile walk down the Las Vegas Strip is taking place Oct. 5. It will begin at the South Point and end at Mandalay Bay.
