Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Nevada State Sen. Tick Segerblom is drafting a new measure to raise the state's minimum wage from $8.25 to $15 an hour.

The proposal comes as fast food workers prepare to walk picket lines at restaurants around the U.S., including Nevada.

Segerblom hopes to have his proposal taken up during the 2015 Legislative Session.
