NASCAR weekend events in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- NASCAR is headed to the Las Vegas Valley on March 6-9. Check out this list of events happening around the valley for race fans to enjoy.

LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

March 5
The Hauler parade

The annual Parade of Haulers down the strip will kick off Vegas NASCAR weekend. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. on the south end of the Strip at the South Point hotel-casino. It will proceed north to Sahara Avnue before heading on I-15 north to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

March 6
Free grandstand admission, ticket Gate C and Neon Garage open
11:30 a.m. – Ticket Gate C and Neon Garage opens.
Noon-4 p.m. – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series KOBALT 400 practice.
5 p.m. – Gates open at Dirt Track for World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars.
5 p.m. – Doors open for Speedway Children’s Charities NASCAR Driver Auction at Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall. Auction starts at 6 p.m.
7 p.m. – Neon Garage closes.

Live broadcast: Sirius/XM NASCAR radio show Dialed In with host Claire B. Lang in The Pub at the Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino from 4-7 p.m. Michael Waltrip will co-host from 5-6 p.m.; Matt Crafton will make an appearance on the show.
 
Kurt Busch, Brian Vickers, David Ragan – Q&A session on stage in Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s Neon Garage from 4:15-4:35 p.m.
 
Ryan Newman, Brendan Gaughan, Austin Dillon, Brian Scott and Ty Dillon – South Point Hotel & Casino. Autographs from 5-6 p.m.
 
Clint Bowyer – Q&A session with FOX Sports personality Jeff Hammond at the Speedway Children’s Charities NASCAR Driver & Memorabilia Auction at Sam’s Town Live! inside Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall at 6 p.m. Admission is free, seating is limited.
 
Michael Waltrip – Autograph session at The Pub at the Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino from 5-6 p.m.
 
David Ragan – autograph session from 6-8 p.m. in the lounge area of The D Casino Hotel on Fremont St.
 
Kevin Harvick – “Happy Hour(s) with Harvick” at the Stratosphere Theater in the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower. Starts at 7:30 p.m. Open to the first 200 fans with wristbands.

Stratosphere Pole Day

10:30 a.m. - Ticket gates, VIP suites and Neon Garage opens.
11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series KOBALT 400 practice.
12:40-1:30 p.m. - NASCAR Nationwide Series Boyd Gaming 300 practice.
2 p.m.-3:25 p.m. - NASCAR Nationwide Series Boyd Gaming 300 final practice.
3:35 p.m. - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Stratosphere Pole Day qualifying for KOBALT 400.
5:30 p.m. - Neon Garage closes.
6-8 p.m. - Kobalt Kampout RV Appreciation Party in the Neon Garage

12:40 p.m. – NASCAR Nationwide Series driver introductions.
1:15 p.m. – NASCAR Nationwide Series Boyd Gaming 300 (200 laps, 300 miles).
4 p.m. – Neon Garage closes.
5-7 p.m. – Richard Petty Driving Experience rides

Miss Sprint Cup (Kim Coon), Miss Coors Light (Rachel Rupert), Miss zMAX (Christina Davidson) – on the midway stage at Las Vegas Motor Speedway at 11 a.m.

March 9
KOBALT 400

7 a.m. - Ticket gates, Neon Garage and VIP suites open.
8:30-9:30 a.m. - Speedway Children's Charities Track Walk.
10 a.m. - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and crew chief meeting (Neon Garage).
11:30 a.m. - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series KOBALT 400 driver introductions.
Noon - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series KOBALT 400 (267 laps, 400.5 miles).
5 p.m. - Neon Garage closes.

Aliante Casino Hotel
The Aliante will welcome race fans to their resort with complimentary beer specials and exclusive spa treatments available from March 7-9. Race enthusiasts who present a valid ticket stub from the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kobalt 400 or NASCAR Nationwide Series Boyd Gaming 300 will receive a complimentary bucket of Bud Light mini bottles at the Race & Sports Book. Guests who would like to visit the spa can enjoy a  50-minute Swedish massage for $75, a 50-minute relax facial for $75 or a 100-minute combination of the two services for $145.

Crazy Horse III
The high speeds of NASCAR are making way to Las Vegas and Crazy Horse III will be offering a complimentary drink for those with race-day tickets. The famed gentlemen’s club will show all the race action in the daytime, as well as all the sexy late-night action every night from Friday, March 7-March 9.

David Ragan driver appearance -- 6 to 8 p.m. March 6 in lounge area

Downtown Grand
NASCAR racing simulator will ofer guest immersive experience March 7 to 9 and event models will had out prizes to winners of the racing simulator game. There will be food and beverage booths all weekend and an airbrush tattoo artist offering complimentary tattoos to visitors. In addition, there will be live entertainment each night in the Mob Bar at 8 p.m.
 
Fremont Hotel
Kasey Kahne driver appearance -- 6 p.m. March 7
 
J.D. Byrider 
Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz driver appearance -- 5 to 7 p.m. March 4. KOMP 92.3 FM will broadcast live. Ticket giveaways for Outlaw Showdown at The Dirst Track and Sunday's Kobalt 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

Minus5 Ice Bar
The Minus5 ice Bar will offer a free Minus5 baseball cap to each guest purchasing a two cocktail package.

Planet Hollywood
Mtn Dew Kickstart and racing star Dale Earnhardt Jr. invite Las Vegas visitors and residents (21 and older) to try their luck at the Mtn Dew Kickstart Slot Machine on Wednesday, March 5. The seven-foot slot machine will “kick out” cans of Mtn Dew Kickstart Black Cherry and Limeade and one of four exciting prizes including a suite at Planet Hollywood, a $750 gift card, a limo ride on the Strip, a VIP meet and greet with Earnhardt, and more. Earnhardt will be on hand from 8 to 9 p.m. March 5 to hand out prizes. The event will take place on the plaza outisde of Planet Hollywood. The slot machine will be active from 5 to 9 p.m.

REO Speedwagon
Mar. 9
REO Speedwagon will take the stage at Fremont Street Experience for a free performance on the 3rd Street Stage. The iconic rock band will rev up crowds during the 11th Annual RaceJam with iconic songs including: “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Take It On the Run,” “Keep on Loving You,”  “Roll with the Changes” and more.

Sam's Town

The Official Formula One Opus Champions Edition
A book weighing 88 pounds that includes original autographs of all Formula One World Champions living in 2006, is on display at Bauman Rare Books in The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian / Palazzo – just in time for race fans visiting the city for NASCAR weekend, March 6-9. “The Official Formula One Opus Champions Edition,” considered the definitive work on the history of Formula One (F1), is one of only 100 printed.
