Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Work crews will begin work on the Kyle Canyon area on Friday after it was ravaged by a wildfire this summer.
Crews will begin mulching the area to help stabilize it and prevent hill slides.
The Carpenter 1 wildfire burned 27,000 acres, making some of the land unstable.
Crews will drop weed-free straw on about 400 acres. The operation will help protect the soil from further erosion and hopefully prevent any major flooding issues in the future.
