Boulder City, NV (KTNV) -- Imagine a hillside of rocks and dirt coming down toward your home. That's what happened Thursday afternoon to homeowners in a Boulder City neighborhood.
Video was captured of a vehicle trying to drive through a street full of mud, and then all the rock and debris came tumbling down the street.
The impacted area is at the intersection of Isabel and Robinson Lane, and neighbors said when it rains, the nickname is "River Isabel."
Residents said Thursday's rain came down fast and caused the mountain to come down. This also happened in the neighborhood about two years ago.
"It comes toward my house down the mountain and it gets quite scary at times for us and our neighbors definitely get nervous at times," said Ben Langeliers.
"It completely covered my neighbor's yard, our driveway. We couldn't get out with vehicles and it covered our neighbor's driveway across the street too," said Eugene Simmons.
City crews responded to the area and are working to clean up in the mudslide. They loaded heavy boulders and dirt into trucks to haul away.
