The jobs report for July has been released.
The Labor Department reports 209,000 jobs were added to the U.S. economy.
It's still less than economists were expecting. It is the sixth straight month of more than 200,000 jobs added.
Despite those gains, the national unemployment rate went up a tenth of a point to 6.2 percent.
The department wrapped up meetings this week. They warned that even though hiring is up, it's still below the level most officials considered healthy.
