Summerlin, NV (KTNV) -- New details have been released into the tuberculosis scare at Summerlin Hospital.
Babies that were tested for TB will have to be tested again in a few months, according to the Southern Nevada Health District.
Patients were examined after a woman who gave birth to twins at the hospital, two months ago, was infected with tuberculosis and passed it on to one of the children who was placed in the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Health officials alerted the public and said babies that were tested may not have fully developed immune systems that would give doctors a correct result on whether they contracted the disease.
