Summerlin, NV (KTNV) -- More stores are lined up for The Shops at Summerlin, and it could mean big money for the Las Vegas Valley.
The Howard Hughes Corporation said the construction site is currently the biggest retail project going on in Southern Nevada.
The Shops at Summerlin announced on Tuesday, it has signed several well-known brands, increasing the retail center's focus on fashion.
Those tenants include Michael Kors, True Religion, Victoria's Secret and Sephora. Those stores will be featured among the other 125 shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.
There will also be a nine-story office tower and two department stores on each side, with the possibility for a third to come later on.
Unlike some of the other shopping centers in town, The Shops at Summerlin is being built with locals in mind.
Although construction is relatively new, the project is not.
The Shops at Summerlin were part of the community's original master plan, which was drafted in the late 1980s.
The retail center is expected to open later this year, and is located near the 215 and Charleston.
