What celeb doesn't want super loyal fans? They support your (sometimes awful) choices, they defend you when critics tear you down and they even go to war for you on social media. That's exactly what Miley Cyrus' fans did when new-comer Lorde made her way to the no. 1 on iTunes for her new song "Royals."

The 16-year-old had been moving up the charts since the song debuted in the states (it was originally released in New Zealand where the artist is from) and it happened to beat Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball." This sent Cyrus' fans into a Twitter rampage.
It wasn't until yesterday, Lorde when tweeted, "wo #1 on US iTunes. even if it lasts an hour i feel HAPPY. downside is all these miley fans telling me they're gonna stab my rotting corpse" that people began to notice the mean tweets. Some of them included "@lordemusic kill yourself you crusty old hag," and "@lordemusic your eyes are too far apart."
Despite the fact that Cyrus' fans drank some crazy juice, she and Lorde are keeping a good rapport. Cyrus responded the madness by tweeting Lorde, "why r people so mean??? Ps your music is awesome." This wasn't the first time the artists exchanged pleasantries, a few weeks ago, Lorde tweeted "new miley is SO on point with verse and pre-chorus melodies."
Lorde fans all over continue to tweet their love and respect for the new star in spite of Cyrus' over-zealous haters.
