Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- New information on the mayor's son indicates he may have been assaulted.
When Eric Goodman arrived at UMC he had a visible head wound so part of his head was shaved.
Oscar Goodman said his wife Mayor Carolyn Goodman thought he looked "silly" so the rest of his hair was cut off, exposing another wound.
At that point the former mayor said a trauma surgeon told him his son likely didn't suffer a fall but was assaulted.
Meanwhile, notices were posted Sunday throughout South Tower Park. Eric Goodman, who is a local judge, was last seen leaving his home near the park to go jogging.
Las Vegas police are now asking residents of the Summerlin community for help with their investigation.
They said around 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 15, Goodman was found in the men's restroom with a severe head injury. Residents in the community said the park was very crowded that day.
One neighbor said they rarely hear sirens and don't hear about break-ins or any assaults, so this news was surprising.
Many said the incident is unnerving, especially because it's not clear if this was an accident or if the judge was attacked.
Until police know for sure, residents said they are taking extra safety precautions.
Oscar Goodman said his son will be leaving a rehabilitation center and returning home in a day or so.
