Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A woman was killed by a hit and run driver at about 8:45 p.m. near Nellis Boulevard and Cedar Avenue, according to Metropolitan Police Department.
Police say that a middle-aged woman was pronounced dead at the scent. They say she was in a crosswalk when she was struck by a four-door sedan with tinted windows. According to witnesses, other cars were stopped but the white car did not stop.
There may be extensive damage to the vehicle.
Nellis was closed from East Bonanza Road to East Stewart Avenue while the incident was under investigation.
The Clark County coroner will release the woman's name after relatives have been notified.
