Medical condition may have caused fatal crash on Sandhill
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Monday morning.
It happened around 8:15 a.m. on Sandhill Road north of Desert Inn Road.
Police said a 2010 Toyota Camry, driven by 87-year-old Henry Lee of Las Vegas, was traveling northbound on Sandhill when it failed to stop for the red light signal at Desert Inn.
The Toyota crossed over Desert Inn, where it struck the median and then veered into the southbound travel lanes.
The Toyota entered into the parking lot of the Desert Inn Plaza, struck a large decorative boulder and came to a stop.
Lee was transported to Desert Springs Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
His cause and manner of death are still pending.
Police said this was possibly medically related.
