Many parents turning to organized events over neighborhood trick-or-treating
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Children and parents are heading out for Halloween events across the Las Vegas Valley.
Starting at 4 p.m., Town Square will become Town Scary. It's just one of several safe events being held across the area.
Many parents told Action News they haven't been taking their children out trick-or-treating in their neighborhoods anymore. Instead, opting for organized events.
Last year in Henderson alone, there were nearly 60 arrests for various violations including drunk driving.
Law agencies are stepping up enforcement on Halloween night and through the weekend, specifically looking for impaired drivers.
