Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas is the wedding capitol of the world but chapels around town will be much busier than usual Tuesday and it is all because of the date.
It is an easy one to remember. That is why couples began lining up at midnight to get hitched.
According to one survey, there will be almost 10 times as many weddings Tuesday versus Nov. 12 of last year.
It's not just the date that is important but also the time. So, if a couple were married at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, the date and time would be 11/12/13 14:15.
Action News caught up with a few couples late Monday night and early Tuesday morning at the Little White Wedding Chapel. They normally open at 7 a.m., but Tuesday they opened at 5:30 a.m.
They had 60 weddings scheduled for Tuesday. That's double what they would normally do on a Tuesday. They're also still accepting walk-ins.
They know dates like this with a sequential pattern don't come along often, so they want to make sure they can accommodate all couples that want to make this their anniversary.
At The Chapel of the Flowers, people started calling a year in advance to book this date for their wedding.
For those of you looking ahead, next December -- 12/13/14 -- is the last time this century that a date will have consecutive numbers. It is also a Saturday which is a popular day for weddings.
