Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man has been arrested and charged following a triple shooting in Las Vegas.
On June 20, police received a 911 call in reference to shots fired at 2681 Heritage Court, near Sahara Avenue and Boulder Highway.
Patrol officers arrived and discovered multiple people had been shot inside the residence.
The body of Michael McCarthy was found on the floor in a bedroom. He died from his injuries.
Two women were also found in the home, suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both transported to the hospital.
Another woman was located in a bedroom at a residence next door. She suffered a grazing wound to her wrist as a result of a bullet that went through a wall.
The investigation indicated two men entered the residence and an altercation took place. One of the men, later identified as Kareem Wilkes, began shooting after saying, "I want my stuff back."
According to the police report, Wilkes was demanding his wallet and computer, which had reportedly been left at the residence. When his property wasn't returned, he allegedly started firing.
The report also said Wilkes had been to the house the night before, demanding his property and allegedly threatened to kill everyone inside if he didn't get it back.
Wilkes now faces numerous charges including murder, attempted murder, battery, discharging firearm in occupied structure and possession of firearm by ex-felon.
Wilkes is a convicted felon out of California for possession and purchase of cocaine.
