Man arrested in Arizona after breaking into building to escape cold
Mohave County, AZ (KTNV) -- Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Anthony Reyes Fierro on Monday for burglary and criminal damage.
At approximately 8:35 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the Mohave County Administration building at 700 West Beale Street in reference to a burglary.
Dispatch advised an unknown male subject had broken into the building in the early morning hours.
During the investigation, deputies were in contact with a security guard who said he was approached by a county employee around 8 a.m., who reported a man sleeping in the stairwell.
The guard contacted the man, later identified as Fierro, who said he was cold and entered the building with some employees.
Surveillance footage also showed a man entering the building after he damaged the front door.
Deputies later detained Fierro.
He told them he went into the building to escape the cold, but he did not take anything.
