Man arrested for allegedly shooting, killing man through door

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing another man through a door.
On Tuesday at approximately 6 a.m., police responded to a residence in the 1600 block of White Skies Court to investigate a report of a man who had been shot.
Arriving officers located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to UMC Trauma where he was later pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation indicated the victim was at home when he heard a knock at the front door.
As the victim was approaching the front of the residence, multiple shots were fired through the door, two of which struck the victim.
Family members also present in the residence were able to call for assistance. No one else in the home was injured.
The investigation identified 33-year-old Raul Gonzales of Las Vegas as the suspect in the crime.
Gonzales was located the next morning in a hotel parking lot in the 3600 block of Boulder Highway and was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported to the Clark County Detention Center and is charged with first-degree murder and discharge a gun at or into an occupied structure.
The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 35-year-old Eric Montoya of Las Vegas.
