Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A domestic dispute has led to the fourth homicide of this year in Las Vegas.
On Jan. 17 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Las Vegas homicide detectives were contacted by Nellis Air Force Base Security Forces and requested to respond to the 4400 block of Kevil Circle, located within the Nellis AFB housing area.
Arriving detectives were briefed by personnel concerning the discovery of a deceased female who was found within the garage of an on-base residence.
The investigation revealed the victim appeared to have suffered from blunt force trauma.
It further revealed the victim and her husband, 32-year-old Rickey Massey, Jr., had been involved in a domestic dispute hours before the discovery of her body.
Massey, who was inside the residence when security personnel arrived, was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on the charge of open murder.
Prior to this incident, Massey had no record of criminal history in Las Vegas.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
This is the fourth homicide within LVMPD's jurisdiction this year.
