Man accused of drowning woman refuses to go to court

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The man accused of drowning his girlfriend last week at their home on Sleepy Spruce Street was supposed to be in court Wednesday morning.
However, he refused to leave his jail cell.
His lawyer was there and requested a psychiatric evaluation.
Police said Neal Huff killed his girlfriend when the two of them got into a fight. The woman was later identified as 56-year-old Karen Vernel Hevene.
He also tried to kill himself.
