Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- There's new information on the road project that's getting some people fired up in the valley.
Newly released renderings of Project Neon provide a first peek at what things will look like once the plan to widen nearly 4 miles of Interstate15 is done.
A new animated rendition shows the project from Sahara all the way to the Spaghetti Bowl.
It was released on Wednesday at a public meeting where about 100 people voiced their opinion.
Some people have been worried about the project opening up their communities to increased traffic and vandalism.
Planners are saying once everything is said and done this project will make it easier for drivers to get to locals streets.
Above all, experts said the project will improve safety and possibly save lives.
The total cost of the project is around $1.5 billion.
Project Neon is expected to start around the end of 2015.
