Locals protest United States military action in Syria
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- As President Obama works to earn congressional support, local protesters are saying they do not support military action in Syria.
More than 50 protesters gathered on Tropicana at the I-15 overpass on Saturday morning.
The group carried signs urging President Obama to stay out of Syrian affairs.
"We have no business in another country's civil war. It is just going to cause more death and destruction," said Robbie Andrew.
Organizers of the two-hour long protest said they do not have any future protests planned, but said that could change if congress approves action.
