Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- About 75 people in the community spent Saturday getting to know local judges.
It was part of an event put on at Canyon Springs High School.
Nearly 40 of the 52 Clark County District Court judges showed up.
They took the stage and talked about their experiences, and answered questions from the audience.
The purpose was to promote voter education about the Clark County 2014 general election.
District Attorney Steve Wolfson, who moderated the event, said this type of meet-and-greet is important, "More people need to know about the people that they're asked to cast ballots on. It's early in the cycle. The election isn't until next year, so this was a great first step to introduce our judges to the community."
The event was hosted by Canyon Springs High School and Veterans in Politics.
