Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Locals received a taste of Hawaii this weekend at an annual festival.
The two-day Hawaiian festival took place at the Henderson Events Plaza on Water Street.
The event highlights island culture, customs, food, music, dance and hospitality.
Now in its 23rd year, the festival expected to see 40,000 people attend, including a former governor of Hawaii who was at the festival as well.
This event is one of Nevada's largest Hawaiian and Pacific Islander celebrations.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit local scholarship programs.
