Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Help is on the way to Colorado from Southern Nevada.

A four-person team from the Salvation Army should be arriving at its destination in Colorado by Monday afternoon.

The volunteers departed from Henderson on Sunday and they're taking their huge mobile unit.

As they explained to Action News, the vehicle is basically a kitchen on wheels which will be able to provide up to 1,200 meals daily to people who have been displaced or evacuated due to flooding.

A search and rescue team from Southern Nevada is also aiding in relief efforts.

Over the weekend, Nevada Task Force 1 was notified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency that it had been activated to respond to flooding in Colorado.

The 80-person urban search and rescue team deployed by ground on Sunday.

The team is compromised of members from the Clark County, Henderson, Las Vegas and North Las Vegas fire departments as well as members from other agencies.

The team's caravan will be hauling more than 50,000 pounds of equipment to the Fort Collins area.
