Lee Canyon residents now allowed to return home

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Major progress was made over the weekend on the Carpenter 1 wildfire.
The nearly 28,000 acre wildfire in the Spring Mountains is at 70-percent containment.
Over the weekend, residents in Lovell and Trout Canyons were given the all clear to go home. On Monday, Lee Canyon residents were allowed back up the mountain.
There are about 50 residents who live in Lee Canyon.
Residents of Kyle Canyon are expected to go home on Wednesday morning.
The evacuation order had been in place since July 4.
Public access is still restricted in most areas.
