Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Derrico quintuplets are finally home from the hospital and they're all healthy and doing well at two months old.
But how are their parents? They're doing surprisingly well, too.
"For the most part, it doesn't really feel like that great of a difference from what we already were doing with the other four," said Deon Derrico, father.
They have four other kids at home, all under the age of eight: Darian is 7, Derrick is 3 and Denver and Dallas are two-year-old twins.
It's hard to imagine how the household of nine kids can function so smoothly in the five-bedroom home in northwest Las Vegas. But, believe it or not, it was not a house of chaos.
"It really isn't. We have a system. We work together," said Evonne Derrico, mother. She said she and her husband don't feel overwhelmed at all by all the children they have.
"We incorporate them into everything, so it doesn't seem as though it's like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm running between my 7 year old, my 3 year old, my quintuplets.' But it doesn't seem that way at all," she said.
In fact, they make sure their 7-year-old sister helps out.
"Yeah, I feed them bottles and stuff like that," said big sister Darian, who loves helping her mom and dad.
Somehow, her parents manage and make it look easy. But they do go through a lot of milk and a lot of diapers. In fact, they go through a 32-pack of diapers each day.
For now, they have a woman who comes in to help part time, and Deon's mother stops by when she can. But mostly, it's just the two parents taking care of their nine children.
The only thing they admit they worry about is making sure each one of their kids gets enough attention. That may be hard to do when there are only 24 hours in a day.
