Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police were called to a barricade situation in a trailer on Friday.

It started around 3:45 p.m. on the 2600 block of Betty Lane near Nellis and Cheyenne.

Police responded to a battery situation and made contact with the victim. A man in his 60's then barricaded himself inside the trailer.

Officers said the man was armed with a knife and possibly a handgun.

Metro K9 and SWAT units were called to the scene.

When SWAT eventually made entry into the trailer several hours later, the man was found dead inside. He did not die due to police use of force.

The man's name, cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County coroner.
