Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police and the Nevada Highway Patrol assisted with a standoff situation involving a robbery suspect out of St. George, Utah.

Utah officials responded to a bank robbery call and located a suspect on Thursday evening, who then began to flee the scene.

The suspect fled on I-15. She started in Utah, drove through Arizona and entered into Nevada.

Las Vegas police and NHP were notified the suspect had crossed into Nevada.

The suspect's vehicle was stopped by authorities, and she refused to get out. Las Vegas SWAT was called in to assist.

However, the woman was taken into custody without incident around 6:10 p.m.

I-15 was shutdown near mile marker 93, which is about ten miles south of Mesquite. NHP is now working to reopen the road.
