Las Vegas' America's Party 2014 plans announced

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- It's almost time to usher in the New Year, and what better place to kick it off than Las Vegas?
Officials gathered on Thursday on the 50th floor of the Voodoo Lounge at the Rio to announce the firing locations for America's Party 2014.
Seven rooftop locations have been set for this years fireworks display. They include MGM Grand, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, Venetian and the Stratosphere.
The 8 minute and 23 second show will feature sequences from all seven locations. More than 80,000 pyrotechnic devices will be uses.
This years show will also be themed to some of the biggest hits of the year including Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines', 'Diamonds' by Rihanna and 'Feel this moment' by Pitbull and Christina Aguilera.
“There’s no better place to spend New Year’s Eve than Las Vegas,” said Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman.
“This is a place where anything can happen, and I invite everyone to visit our rejuvenated downtown where you can experience the fun and energy of the Fremont East Entertainment District and Downtown Third as well as the excitement of the world famous Fremont Street Experience.”
The strip isn't the only place where the action is happening.
The Fremont Street Experience is holding the Downtown Countdown starting from 6 p.m.- 3 a.m.
This year the ultimate New Year’s Eve street party will feature headliners Papa Roach, Blues Traveler, Loverboy, Vince Neil and Adelitas Way in addition to special performances from local bands including Arena, The Blackjacks, Clockwork, Kid Hollywood and Monroy.

More than 330,000 visitors are expected to visit Las Vegas to ring in the New Year.
