Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Comedian George Wallace has been awarded $1.3 million in his lawsuit against the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip.

The jury announced the verdict on Tuesday afternoon.

Wallace was also awarded $8,500 for his medical expenses and $100,000 for pain and suffering.

He suffered a leg injury while performing in December 2007.

The civil court jury reached a verdict after deliberating on Friday and Monday after two weeks of testimony in Clark County District Court.

61-year-old Wallace testified that he's permanently hobbled by the injury he suffered when his leg became entangled in wiring onstage while performing.

Bellagio attorneys denied the hotel and its employees were responsible for the injury.

Wallace had sought at least $7.1 million from the Bellagio, but he said he's happy with the result.

Wallace has announced he is not returning to the Flamingo for his show. His last show will be April 27. Wallace has been performing there for ten years.
