Joey Chestnut, also known as "Joey Jaws," has chomped his way to another title.
Chestnut won the Nugget World Rib Eating Championship on Wednesday eating 9 pounds and 2.7 ounces of ribs in 12 minutes. It is the fifth consecutive time Chestnut has been crowned the rib-eating king. The competition was part of the annual Nevada's Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off.
The 30-year-old champ from Vallegjo, California, is also the world-record holder at Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Contest in New York.
The runner-up was Matt Stonie of San Jose, California (8 lbs., 3 ounces).
Chestnut did not break his record last year, which was 13 pounds and 3 ounces. That record is a world record for rib eating.
In addition to bragging rights, Chestnut will collect $2,500 for the win on Wednesday.
