The Arizona woman who was convicted of killing her ex-boyfriend wants to be her own lawyer now.
34-year-old Jodi Arias will represent herself in her sentencing re-trial. The judge granted her motion on Monday, but strongly advised against it.
Arias will have the task of arguing a death penalty case despite having no legal experience and no college degree or high school diploma.
Arias got her GED in jail.
A jury found Arias guilty of first degree murder last April for killing her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander in 2008. The jury couldn't agree on a sentence.
Her penalty hearing starts Sept. 8. The jury will only consider life, or a death sentence.
