Job happiness usually increases with age

CREATED Oct. 28, 2013

(KTNV) -- Are you unhappy at your job? It might be because of your age.

According to a new survey, job happiness increases with age.

The Associated Pres NORC Center for Public Affairs Research conducted a recently study that found 9 in 10 workers who are age 50 and older say they are "very satisfied" or "somewhat satisfied" with their jobs.

Apparently, older works generally have already climbed the career ladder, increased their salaries and reached positions where job security is guaranteed.

Researchers say earlier in life, people are uncertain what career path they want to take and may be stuck in jobs that they despise.

Meanwhile, many older workers also remain on the job rather than retired because they enjoy their work.
