Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A person at a local high school has been diagnosed with tuberculosis.
The Clark County School District released this statement on Friday:
"The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) has informed CCSD that an individual at Liberty High School was diagnosed with an active case of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).
The district has been in continuous communication with SNHD and is cooperating with the health district as it oversees the response to this incident.
A letter addressed to parents was sent home with students Friday and a ParentLink message will also be sent out to keep our community informed of this situation. Additional letters will be sent home with students as those who are in need of testing are identified."
