Illegal immigrants caught with 41 pounds of marijuana

Mohave County, AZ (KTNV) -- Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jose Luis Lozano and Juan Antonio Mendiol Aguilero, both 28, of Dallas, for forgery, transportation of marijuana for sale, possession of marijuana for sale and possession of marijuana.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the Interstate 40 at milepost 53.
Deputies contacted the driver and passenger whom both identified themselves with a passport. The driver identified himself as Ociel Garcia and the passenger identified himself as Jose Solorio.
During the traffic stop, deputies determined both passports were forged. The driver was identified as Lozano and the passenger was identified as Aguilero.
During conversations with Lozano, he said he has never had a driver's license.
A consent search of the vehicle revealed three garbage bags containing marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle. Lozano and Aguilero were taken into custody without incident.
Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team detectives responded and continued the investigation.
The garbage bags contained 39 bundles of marijuana which weighted approximately 41 pounds and a wholesale value of $205,000.
With the assistance of Border Patrol, Lozano and Aguilero were determined to be illegal immigrants. Lozano and Aguilero were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
Apparently Lozano and Aguilero were traveling from Modesto, California to Dallas, Texas.
